On Friday, we will find out the fate of Chicago and 2016 Olympics. Chicago has made every effort to impress the IOC, even President Obama attending the final voting. I believe the Olympics will usher in a new era of prestige for Chicago and I am glad Obama is pushing on behalf of Chicago. However, detractors state that Obama should utilize his time wisely, such as the healthcare legislation or the economic recovery. First, a president should be expected to walk and chew gum. President Obama can work on multiple items at once. Pushing for the Olympics elevates American diplomacy and stature in the world. Second, lets be honest is Obama going to fix everything in one day? I mean seriously we should be happy our president holds this kind of sway in the international community.
